Although it may not seem that important during the web design phase, validating your HTML code is crucial. Unfortunately, sometimes a web designer will create an impressive website but fail to go through the validation process. As a result, the site does not reach its full potential. Sure, you could create an ecommerce website that works perfectly on a particular browser but if you have created the pages with errors in the HTML code and not found those errors through the validation process, you will have problems.

Typically, people will conduct a search through Google.com or some other search engine. When they find the site that offers the type of product and/or service they want, they click on the link, shop, and buy. However, if you have not validated your HTML code for that ecommerce site, then those people will run into all types of problems getting the pages to your website open. Obviously, if they have broken connections, they will go back to the search and choose another company with which to work. The key is to create web design pages so you get an added boost in the form of internet marketing by having your site work not on just one or two platforms, but many, if not all.
